Penn Station East Coast Subs Hires Curiosity Advertising as Agency of Record

(CINCINNATI, OHIO)—Penn Station, a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in hot and cold sandwiches, hired Curiosity Advertising as its new agency of record after a review of several national and regional agencies. The chain has more than 300 locations in 15 states including Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. Penn Station is targeting Kansas City, Atlanta, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Virginia and Dallas for franchise expansion.

“Curiosity’s innovative approach to the pitch paired with their exceptional creative and strategic chops set them apart from other considerations,” said Penn Station president Craig Dunaway. “We saw a great fit with our teams’ shared commitment to crafting an excellent product and telling stories that engage and delight audiences. We’re confident this partnership will move our brand in the right direction.”

Matt Fischer, CEO of Curiosity Advertising, said, “Penn Station offers consumers an immersive dining and eating experience that we really want to bring life to through the campaign. The menu is truly unique and sparks a passion in its fans unlike any other fast-casual restaurants in the category, which is saying a lot considering how cutthroat competition is in this sector. I can say our team is thrilled to jump into their business and help grow the Penn Station brand as it continues to expand into new markets.”

Agency assignments include creative concept development, campaign development and execution, media planning and buying and social media strategy. Work will launch in late summer of 2017.
