Curiosity took home a national American Advertising Award this year for a little unexpected piece of creative that we made to satisfy our own curiosity. The concept was simple. We found a box disguised as a book, placed two bourbon glasses inside and titled it, “The Secret to Advertising.” Then we covered it in intricate gold engraving reminiscent of the roaring ’20s. Think Baz Lurhmann’s Great Gatsby.
Below is a press release announcing this year’s winners:
We entered the piece for fun at the local level, but it worked its way all the way to the top, beating out roughly 40,000 other entries. So here we are. Standing alongside some big names like Leo Burnett, BBDO, Publicis and more.
It wasn’t the obvious path, but it was pretty curious nonetheless.
