CURIOSITY WELCOMES CREATIVE POWERHOUSE KATIE GERDES
Nationally-Recognized Creative Director Brings Expertise to Cincinnati
CINCINNATI – December 12, 2019 — Curiosity is proud to announce the latest addition to their growing team. Creative Director Katie Gerdes is joining the agency by way of VMLY&R Chicago and McCann New York. Gerdes’ hire comes at a time when the agency is experiencing significant 2019 growth.
Most recently, Gerdes worked at VMLY&R Chicago, where she managed client teams for Heinz, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Velveeta and Walgreens. During her tenure, she helped secure two Gold Clio Awards for Heinz, in the Social Platform and Real-Time Response categories. She also brought home a Drum Award (Best Use of Twitter), a Shorty Award (Food and Beverage) and a Project Isaac Award (Most Innovative Creative Advertising) for introducing Heinz Mayochup, recognized as the most effective product launch in company history.

Prior to working at VMLY&R, Gerdes spent two years at McCann New York, supporting clients including Microsoft, Coca-Cola and Feeding America. She also spent three years at Doner in Detroit, working on Autotrader, AutoZone, Chrysler and Del Taco. She is a graduate of DePaul University and Chicago Portfolio School. Gerdes is originally from the Cincinnati area.
