1)Tell us a memorable story of yourself when you were a kid. It can be funny, surprising, warm and fuzzy, whatever. Just make it a good one.
I was obsessed with dressing myself as a kid and I would like to think I was somewhat of a trendsetter. I went through a big phase where I wore watches on my ankles… still waiting for the “Wankles” trend to takeoff.
3)What is a nerdy thing about you? (i.e. are you a Star Wars buff? Do you know a stupid amount about a particular book, period of history, or hobby?)
During Holiday breaks, I like to print out blank US maps and time myself to see how quickly I can fill in the states from memory. I try to get under 2 minutes.
4)Name one completely useless thing you’re really good at?
5) What was the dumbest thing you did when you were a kid?
When signing up for my college dorm, I accidentally signed up as male instead of female. My mom luckily noticed, but unluckily it was after I submitted the application.
6) All-time favorite movie line, go. Why?
“All this nothing has meant more to me than so many somethings”- You’ve Got Mail
7) At work you go by “Grace”, but you said that’s the only place people call you by that. What do you go by outside of work?
I’ve always gone by GraceE. My name is Grace Elizabeth and my Grandma always spelled it “GraceE.” with two “e’s”, the second one capitalized. When I started getting older people would get confused or think I had a typo when spelling my own name (so embarrassing)… so I started using Grace at work because I was so nervous! I’ve started to convert more people to using “Gracee” over the years : )
8) To say you are a dog lover would be an understatement. Do you have a dog and what kind?
I’m absolutely obsessed with dogs. My first dog I got for my 12th birthday, he was a yellow lab named Cooper and was my best friend growing up. I now have another dog/best friend named Charleston. I rescued him so I’m not really sure what he is, but the vet said he’s most likely a boxer/lab mix aka a “Boxador”.
9) You aren’t originally from Cincinnati and your family still lives in Cleveland… what helps if you get homesick?
I get homesick pretty often (no matter where I go). As a kid I went to Camp Fitch and got the most homesick I’ve ever been. The one thing that got me through that week and to do this day is the only thing that makes me feel better…. Enrique Iglesias’ album “Enrique”. Bailamos anyone?
